I believe this was originally released back in 72. The insert mentions that these are unreleased recordings but perhaps this is a copy from an original insert. I could not find any mention of this release at this site
I picked these two pieces up last year at terrastock 6. In between the two venues there was a merch room and some avarus members were selling these. To reduce the file sizes, I reduced the image sizes to 20% of their origial and reduced the quality just a bit.
Links to terrastock mp3s can be found from the Lal Lal Lal link provided below.
I saw this listed in an eclipse records email a few years back and it sounded interesting. This was my first exposure to finnish music, but certainly not my last. I don't like to categorize music, as I feel it may take away from the listening experience. Words I think of when hearing this music: free rock/ forest folk / psychedelic sludge (for reasons not at all apparent) . This is one of those records that alters your musical perception. I had no idea that music like this even existed!
Members from Avarus run a record label called Lal Lal Lal.
At present I am not sure how much I will put into creating this blog. I have recently been exposed to many wonderful places to experience wonderful music for the first time. I believe in supporting independent artists and spend quite a bit of money doing so. Unfortunately, with many amazing obscurities out there it is hard to know who to support. I have taken a lot of chances and have found a few gems over the last couple of years. I have also spent a lot of money on music that I will probably never listen to again. I hope to expose openminded music listeners to sound that excited me when I heard it.
